Extreme Tourette's in adulthood, though sensationalized in the media, is a rarity; tics are often unnoticed by casual observers. In most cases, medication for tics is not necessary.Hopefully you will all have fun meeting singles and try out this online dating thing... There are many kids out there who are misdiagnosed with having ADD or ADHD when in fact they have Tourettes. I am really stumped as to how they can get away trying to practice medicine. One teacher got warned not to mess with me and my son.Remember that we are the largest free online dating service, so you will never have to pay a dime to meet your soulmate. When my son first started school the teachers (who think they have a medical degree) really began to get on my case about my sons behavoir at school . Before you put your kids on that ritilin CRAP make sure your child does not have tourettes. Sounds like you've done a great job keeping on top of things with the dx and meds, good man. I don't take sh** from any one when it comes to my son.Findings from the study indicate several themes among the subjects’ experiences: Choosing whether, why, when, how and what to disclose to partners; challenges of explaining tics and TS to others; reasons for concealing tics; impact of making disclosures to romantic partners; family and peers’ responses as a model for how romantic partners may respond; family and peers’ responses as a motivation for getting different responses from romantic partners; and considering genetics and children.Plentyoffish dating forums are a place to meet singles and get dating advice or share dating experiences etc. Well after awhile I did not like the fact he was like a zombie. The ritilin that they pumped in him accualy made the tourettes worse. He does cut down during the summer but during the school years he takes it at 8 he is out like a light by 9.30LOL, I hear about an amazing number of schools that threaten to throw a kid out if there parents won't treat them for ADHD.
Some common tics are eye blinking, coughing, throat clearing, sniffing, and facial movements.
I asked her out, and she said she had been waiting for months for me to come back and ask her out.
I guess I have one HUGE problem as I attempt to write this... The dudes in my past never made their way to boyfriend level (I went through dudes like tissue). Fronkensteen isn't the first person with Tourette's I've ever met. Ricky (sorry have to use real names for seriousness) is probably one of the strongest people I know. Yes it took him years to get that way but he exudes an energy that makes you feel safe when you're around him.
And even if I talked to a dude for a while it turned out that he was a creep with self-confidence issues that would project those on to me... I guess what I'm saying is I am one lucky girl who found a really great dude and Tourette's is a small price to pay for that. However when his Tourette's is bad Ricky is vulnerable and helpless (or he feels that way to me).
Just to prove how crazy I am when he told me he had Tourette's my response was "and I'm a Taurus." That's Dragyn speak for "I do not care." And I don't. I worry more about how his Tourette's affects him and his life.
